Personal Statement

Hi! My name is Anahí. I have been competitive swimming since I was 5 years old and I now compete year-round with my club team Porter Valley Polar Bears in Porter Ranch, CA. Since I have been competing for so long, this sport has been one of the only things I have put a significant amount of dedication and commitment into. I know I am not done with this sport and would like to compete however long swimming will have me. This sport has always been there for me through the good and the bad days and has greatly influenced my life.

I'm interested in swimming in college while pursuing my career in Sports Medicine. This subject has always fascinated me, especially in a sport where injuries don't occur very often. I consider myself a good candidate, with the combination of my 3.9 GPA and swimming abilities I know I will contribute in the pool and in the classroom.
