Lillie Vehling '23 Recruiting Profile

As a multi-sport athlete, I have always enjoyed physical activity and teamwork; but even more so, I am determined to seek a challenge. My top priority will continue to be academics; I have wanted to study engineering since I was three years old. It is my hope to pursue water polo at a four year, Division I University. I would like the opportunity to represent my school, pursue my academics, stay physically active, and compete at the highest level. My brief introduction to UCLA’s water polo program through my participation at multiple summer camps inspired me to continue my training. I enjoyed my first two years at Notre Dame High School as a Varsity starter. I look forward to the upcoming two years of high school as well as continuing to train with and compete for Rose Bowl Water Polo Academy. Throughout the pandemic, I was fortunate to train with Tony and Rico Azevedo. I was honored to be invited to the 6-8 Collegiate Showcases in Utah and Arizona and competed in the 6-8 Showcase in Dallas and the Final Showcase in St. George. 

It is a priority for me to give back to my community. I created the Fire Family Ladder Program (firefamilyladder.org) in 2020. My family and I look forward to making a greater impact in 2021 and beyond!
