The greatest influence on my life so far has been the sport of swimming. Through this sport, I have learned so much about myself as an athlete and a person. I started swimming in a summer league when I was nine years old, and I fell in love with being in the water. When I was twelve, I decided to begin swimming for my current club team. I view this decision as one of the best ones I have made, as I have truly found a family and a home in the pool.
For years I have been dreaming of swimming at the collegiate level. It is my goal to be apart of a team and sports program that is characterized by hard work and success. In college, I look forward to learning more about myself as an athlete, and getting stronger both mentally and physically. I think I will continue to contribute my positive attitude and uplifting leadership skills to my college team, and I look forward to seeing where this journey will take me.
