Greta Smith '27 Recruiting Profile

Hi My name is Greta Smith and I am an incoming junior at Westfield High school in Indiana. I have a goal of swimming distance freestyle in college at a D1 or D2 school. I have been swimming on a club team since 2021. I am very optimistic for my junior year as I have been rapidly improving since I began highschool. I have had to work through many difficulties in my swimming career, and that has made me grow as an athlete. Before freshman year I had a dip in my performances and had very few time drops for about a year due to mental and physical health struggles. I continued to work hard, even though there was a the lack of visible progress. I worked hard in practice, showed up, and continued to take care of myself. Then, I had an amazing freshman year. This is just one example of my ability to navigate  difficult with hard work and consistency. I am in many honors classes and I am enrolled in four AP classes for junior year. I enjoy school, and right now I am sitting at a 4.006 weighted GPA. I am a dedicated student and I have learned how to use my time wisely between practices, school, work, and extracurriculars. I believe that my work ethic and dedication is what would make me an exceptional collegiate athlete.
