My name is Natalie Kent. I am 18 years old and a Senior at Adair-Casey and Guthrie Center High School in Guthrie Center, Iowa. I compete in high school girls swimming through Carroll High School in Carroll, Iowa. I swam my freshman and sophomore years of high school at Mountain Vista High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. My best events are the 100 free, 50 free, and 100 butterfly. I just recently began to improve in my 50 free and want to continue to work on improving it further. My passion for swimming began when I was 9 years old upon joining the Colorado Homestead Farm II Barracuda's summer swim team. I went on to join a year-round team (Colorado Lifetime) a year later and have been swimming ever since. I moved from Lifetime to Castle Rock (Colorado) in 2017 and moved to Aquawolves (Colorado) in 2021. As time goes on, my love for swimming grows as I receive support from my coaches and improve on my events. It is extremely rewarding to see the results of the hard work I put in during practice. At the 2021 Girls Continental A-League Championships (Colorado), I competed as the butterfly leg of the 200 Medley Relay and placed 8th overall. At the 2022 IGHSAU Swimming and Diving State Meet, I competed as a part of Carroll High School's state team in the 200 Freestyle Relay, which placed 19th overall. My goal for the next high school season is to qualify for state again on both a relay and as an individual.
As a Senior in high school, I have learned how to manage my time well, persist in the face of academic and athletic pressure, and be a team player with all my teammates, whether older or younger. I want to go to college one day to improve my academic knowledge, but also to grow as a person, teammate, athlete, student, and young adult. I am unsure as to what to go to college for, but I have a possible interest in Business Administration/Management and Marketing.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile!
