Hi, I'm Jadin! I've been swimming for about nine years. My mom and my aunt have swum for most of their life and my grandma was a diving coach for many years, so swimming kind of runs in my blood. All I've known is swimming and it recently hit me that I only have one competitive swim season left. After realizing this, I've decided that I want to keep pursuing my swimming career to the next level! I'm a hard-core distance swimmer! I have really only swam distance, I have swam the 500 for most of my swimming career along with the 1000 and mile a few times here and there but most of my distance experience is the 500! I swam club for a few years and absolutely loved it, between the competition, meeting new people, watching fantastic talent, and just the atmosphere in general, then, life happened and unfortunately haven't gotten back into club swim, but definitely miss it!
For my senior year of high school swimming, I'll be a captain! I love teaching people how to swim and being comfortable in the water; I do my part of teaching by helping with our summer swim program, swim lessons at our local YMCA and outdoor pool in the summer, private swim lessons, and managing the boys' high school swim team. In addition, I've been in student council since 6th grade and am currently still in it along with being in silver cord which is a volunteering program through the high school and I'll graduate with at least 100 hours of volunteer services! I have received a couple of plaque awards, one being the most improved in lanes 1-3 my freshman year and the most encouraging from my junior year! I love cheering and encouraging people on--not only does it help me get through the tough sets it hopefully helps my other teammates get through them too! I love meeting new people. I'm a little shy at first, but I warm up fairly quickly. I have a spunky, selfless, carefree personality that I hope people enjoy and feel safe around, and I almost always have a smile on my face!
