Hey,
My name is Grace Reavis and swimming in college has always been a goal of mine since I started to swim for my club team (Rockville Montgomery Swim Club). I really want to prove to myself and others, that all the dedication and time I have spent swimming is paying off. By swimming in college I will accomplish this. My brother swims for a D II team. Seeing everything he has been able to accomplish and his extreme dedication to the sport has made me even more dedicated to achieving my goal of swimming in college. My determination, leadership and always wanting to achieve my swim goals is what has really made me into the student athlete I am today. I have achieved many goals so far in high school; not only swimming goals, but academic goals like becoming a member of the National Honor Society. My cumulative GPA for my first two years of high school were a 3.8, and my first quarter GPA of junior year was a 4.36. Being able to manage two and a half hours of swim practice each day and maintaining good grades was a promise I made to my parents when I started swimming club. I have always been a very positive and outgoing person, which I think has contributed a lot to me being able to maintain school, swimming, and a life outside of school and swimming. Having such a huge want and drive for being a collegiate swimmer is what I hope will help me achieve this goal.
