I have been on the Bluefish Swim Club since 2004 and have progressed every year through regional, age group, sectional, and now international levels of competition. I am very driven and have specific goals both in swimming and academically. I am a leader on my high school swimming team and help others with their swimming techniques. I was named into the Spectrum Gymnastics Hall of Fame and won the state championships on the floor exercise when I was 12. I have a history of learning quickly, driving myself to achieve, and improving to reach my goals.
My goals now are to attend a strong academic college, develop myself in Pre-Med studies, and be a focused leader on the swimming team. I am interested in Sports Medicine and other health sciences. My short term goal is to achieve cuts for the US Junior National Championships and to represent Costa Rica at the 2nd Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China, and 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
My interest in medicine and the human body is driving me to look for an institution that can challenge and develop me in the fields of medicine, sports medicine, or health sciences.
