Personal Statement
I have been swimming since I was about 2 years old. I began swimming competitively at age 5 in Mexico, I love swimming.
We moved to Michigan when I was 8 years old and I began swimming competitive with Spartan Aquatic club; be the new in the pool, different country language and culture were big challenges, I had very good coaches and teammates that help me to grow fast and start to qualify to state championship for 7 years on SCY and LCM seasons.
High School swimming really helped me to renew all my love and passion back for swimming, I started to have fun and stopped getting worked up with my swimming. I began to enjoy going to practice again and practicing became fun and challenging for me . My coaches help me to understand better my skills and swimming strategy and I started to see the changes fast.
I decided that I needed a change and I moved to Drop Aquatics. I have been really motivated and happy with all that I have been doing.
I consider myself a tough swimmer, I am a medium long distance swimmer.
I am used to swim long distance events at the same championship SCY 1000/1650/500/400IM/200Fly/200Back, LCM 800/1500/400/400IM/200 FLY/200Back , and still be competitive in each one of them. I can provide flexibility to my team to be a wild card for any of those events and be a good relay swimmer too.
I am looking for a school where I can grow in my academic and swimming life.
