My name is Ella Hall, I am a member of the 2023 graduating class at Edina High School in Edina, Minnesota. I started swimming at the age of two, and joined my first summer swim team at the age of five. Swimming is a sport that I fell in love with at an early age and is something I genuinely care about.
During the fall I swim for Edina High School. In 2020 (Sophomore year), I placed first in the 100 breast and swam anchor on the 200 free relay, setting the pool record and earning All-American status. In 2019 (Freshman year), at the high school section meet I placed first in the 100 breast and third in the 100 free. At the 2019 High School State Meet I was seated 10th in the 100 free and 12th in the 100 breast. I ended up placing 8th overall during Finals of the State Championship meet and our team won the State meet!!!
Since 2017, when I moved to Minnesota, my USA Swimming Club, has been Edina Swim Club, where I earned a spot on the National Team, with a 100 Free LCM time 59.85 and a 100 Breast SCY of 1:06.14. I am also an active member of the Minnesota Swim Association Athlete Committee.
Outside of swimming, one of my favorite extracurricular activities is DECA. DECA is a high school business program with business case and issue competitions. For college, I’m looking for the right academic and athletic fit, where I can excel in the water and in the classroom. I look forward to competing at the collegiate level, and following in the footsteps of both of my parents, as the oldest of 3 daughters.
