Hannah Dubbe '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Hannah Dubbe, I am currently a sophomore at Eastview High school in Minnesota. I’ve been a competitive swimmer for almost 10 years and ever since I was little it's been my dream to perform at the collegiate level. The second I jumped into the pool I’ve been in love with the sport ever since. Swimming has an atmosphere no other sport has, from the community to the adrenaline high after a new PR to the lessons you learn after a hard practice. I truly appreciate every aspect of this amazing sport and I’m very grateful for it. 

I currently swim for South Metro Storm located in lake villa minnesota. During the fall season I swim for my current high school: Eastview high school. This year and the past year have been difficult with restrictions but our team still went out there everyday and trained. These past 2 seasons that I’ve swam for my school I have achieved a few awards such as: Rookie of the year(2020), Varsity team(2020), All conference(2020), 3rd at sections(team 2020), State qualifier(2020), MVP(2021), All conference(2021), Varsity team(2021), State qualifier(2021).  State was cancelled my freshman year but I was ranked 7th in the 100 back and 12th in the 200 IM. Sophomore 2021 season I placed 12th in the 100 back and 14th in the 200 IM. 

Aside from athletics I also value my academics. I enjoy challenging myself in the classroom and the pool by applying honors classes to my course load . I’m extremely proud of my academic achievements and my strong work ethic. Some extracurriculars I enjoy are Spanish club and tutoring as I’ve been studying Spanish for nearly 9 years. I enjoy trying new clubs such as mock trial, student trial, peer leadership, and even things such as garden club.
