I faced an extremely important decision to make regarding both my swimming and academic career when I was in eighth grade. I wasn’t feeling challenged enough on my swim team or at school, so my parents and I decided that we had to make a change. Leaving my friends behind, I switched swim teams and then switched schools not even a year after that. This was an extremely crucial part of my life because it was the first time I had to make a choice that could require me losing the best teammates and friends I had ever made, which made it extremely hard to be comfortable with the choice I had made. However, looking back I know that I made the right decision for my future.
I am a hard-worker always looking for a challenge to take on both athletically and academically. I believe that I possess not only the talent to compete on a college team, but the character and work-ethic as well.
