My name is Taylor Hawkins, I've been swimming since I was five years old and it has been a very influential part of my life. I started year-round swimming when I was ten years old and I've been improving ever since. In practice, I use others to push myself and set a small goal for each workout. Also, in practice, I strive to motivate others by doing my best. Over the years, I have learned that hard work does pay off. I also understand that it is important to grow individually as a person while being a great teammate and friend outside of the pool.
In high school, have taken honors and AP level classes and have been able to earn good grades while swimming year-round and for my high school team. Even though I have a busy schedule with swimming, I have found time to be a liaison for my high school by giving school tours and helping with orientation for new students. I am also a member of the math honor society.
I hope to swim in college while earning a health care related degree. While in college, I want to continue to improve my times and make new friendships. One quality that I can offer to a team is my responsibility and drive to do my best at every practice and every meet.
