Personal Statement
In college I hope to reach athletic and academic goals. Athletically I hope to grow and build upon the base that I built up to this point. I have primarily been a sprit free and flyer but I am always open to trying new events including the IM and longer distance in fly. I would like to not only drop time in my events but to also learn better training strategies including techniques, strength training, nutrition and mental training. Academically I am interested in a career that helps people and gives back to others. Some fields I am looking into are nursing, teaching, athletic training. I look forward to the many opportunities that college provides including hands on and real world experiences. I believe in the team aspect and have been active in my team by planning team building activities in and out of the pool. I love watching my teammates excel and reach their goals ,I also believe in cheering for everyone in and out of the pool. I received our teams leadership award in summer of 2021. I am always pushing myself athletically and academically and I always want to be out of my comfort zone by trying new things.
