Hi! My name is Alaina Pitton. I have been swimming competitively since the age of seven, and I am so excited to take this next step in my athletic and academic journey. Over the past 9 years of my life, there hasn’t been anything that has influenced or taught me as much as swimming. I have learned how to handle mental and physical challenges and defeat obstacles that stand in the way of my goals. I have also learned how to manage time, work with coaches and fellow swimmers, and how to be part of a team. I want to swim in college because I want to continue to learn, grow, and improve not only as an individual but also as a teammate. There is nothing I love more than being able to compete and better myself alongside my friends, and this applies both in the pool and in the classroom. As a swimmer and student I love creative problem solving, and pushing my own limits. I am eager to see what my future holds, and excited to dedicate all my hard work, time, passion, and energy, to a college team!
