Personal Statement
I am Lucille (Lucie) Frick, a current Junior at Bay City High School. I am one of the co-captains of our varsity swim team. Up until now, I’ve been on varsity and have attended regionals the entirety of my highschool career. I’ve also swam competitively for about 7 years. Ever since I began swimming, I knew it was a sport I wanted to compete in for as long as possible. I am in love with this sport, and I cannot see myself ever living without it. Swimming has shaped me into who I am today. Now, my dream is to become a collegiate swimmer.
Everyday at practice, I push not only myself, but also my teammates to improve. One of my favorite parts of swimming is the comfortable yet competitive team atmosphere where we are constantly working harder and harder to improve.
Academics and extracurriculars play large roles in my life. I am currently ranked 13 in my class of 200+, and I have a GPA of 3.9. I try my best to stay involved in my school and community. I am a part of Student Council, Drill Team, Theatre Club, and Eco Club. Each of which I hold high positions. I work as a lifeguard to keep my community safe and to stay near the water, too.
