I started swimming when I was about 7, right after I watched the 2012 Olympics I decided I wanted to be there. Ever sense then it has been a dream of mine to swim in a D1 college. I have fallen in love with ever aspect of the sport. It has changed me in many ways and taught me many things about failures, hard work, goals, family, strength and pushing through when it gets hard. I wouldn't be the person I am today without swim and I am very thankful that I have been able to compete in this sport.
As a freshman at Johnson High School, I set many records including pool records. I was able to letter as a varsity athlete. I also become apart if their first regional team. I made finals in all 4 events that I swam, and ended up being the only freshman in the 100 back A finals. As a sophomore I was the only one in Hays CISD to qualify to region in a individual even. From there I got called up to state in the 100 back and placed 11th overal.
