Taylor Davidson '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Taylor Davidson, and I am currently 17 years old and a junior in high school. I am a 5'7" elite level swimmer living in Spring, Texas. I am currently a member of the USA swimming club Premier Aquatics Club of Klein as part of their National group, for which I qualified for by having 2 NSCA Junior Nationals cuts, 4 Southern Zone Sectional cuts, and 2 Southern Zone Sectional bonus cuts.I am also a member of my school's, Klein Oak High School, varsity swim team. I consider myself a very hard worker, a team leader, and I always come to practice with a positive mental attitude. My goal at practices is not just to push myself to be the best I can be, but to help my teammates live up their own full potential. I also excell in school (I am a member of the National Mu Alpha Theta, a distinguished math honor society, and a member of the National Honor Society) with a 5.019 GPA on a 6.0 scale, and I currently rank 35 in my class of almost 900 students. I am also an exceptional viola player, having been playing since the 5th grade, and am currently placed in the Sub-Varsity orchestra at my high school.

I am looking for a school where I can find the perfect balance between swimming and academics. My goal is to attend a college with academics and a swim program that will challenge me. I am very interested in majoring in Biology or Biological Sciences. I would like to attend a school in the southern United States, preferably Texas, Louisiana, or Florida.
