I started swimming at age 12, so this is only my 4th year competing. In that time, I've gone from being a total beginner to making NCSA Junior Nationals this year. In addition, I can swim all events, with my strengths being IM, breast, back, and sprint free. I won the 200 IM at Zones last year with a 2:12 and made NCSAs in it this year with a 2:07. My 100 breast is a 1:06, and my back and sprint free times are solid and still improving. I love to race and I do well in relays with strong splits and would provide a lot of roster versatility.
Since this year’s short course season, including Junior Nationals, ended early, my times do not reflect where I progressed to before the cancellations. A conversation with my coach, John Flanagan, would show what I would have achieved in the 2020 season.
I am currently a full IB diploma candidate, and I have a 4.22 GPA. I have made Honor Roll every quarter, and I am a Potomac Valley Scholar-Athlete. High School Team MVP this year ( https://youtu.be/SdxUwmth4xQ )
I can’t wait to be part of a college team with the environment that will help bring out my greatest potential. Team efforts have always motivated me.
