On my swim team, we hold four core values: Be Great, Act With Integrity, Expect Success, and Team First. Of these, the one I have always believed to be the most important is Team First. Throughout my ten years of swimming, this is the one ideal that has kept me going during pleateaus and hard seasons. I value the team, cheering for my friends before and during every race (one of the things I miss the most about swimming), and encouraging people during practices above all else.
