Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Christianna Hornigold, and I am a tenth grader at Johnson Ferry Christian Academy. When I graduate from high school in 2021, I would like to attend a college where I can fulfill my academic and athletic goals. For me, this means playing college tennis, as well as majoring in the field of Sports Medicine or Finance.
I believe I am a great candidate for your team because I am a kind and loyal person, I am a hard worker physically and mentally, and I always put my school work first! From a young age, my parents have always taught me how to act whether I am on or off the court, at home or at school, or in public or in private. They have taught me three principles that I will always carry with me wherever I may go: always be respectful of others and put their needs before my own, work hard, and persevere through challenges no matter how hard they may seem. I have taken this advice to heart, and it has tremendously helped me athletically, academically, and in my character. When it comes to tennis, I put in the work on and off the court. I attend fitness classes, physical therapy appointments, and even work out on my own to build strength and endurance while keeping my body healthy. Academically, I have a 4.25 GPA, I take three honors courses and one college class. I am also a tutor in math. I believe these achievements have helped me build my character as well!
That is why I believe I am different from other recruits. I hope that you consider me for your school, and thank you very much for your time.
