I was selected to train with the Top Tiger group. It was a week long camp that consisted of three practices per day along with an hour long workout. Not only did we do drills, we played many matches and interacted with college athletes and coaches.

While playing in the doubles portion of the tournament, me and my partner, Anna Kathryn Bohacek, got second place. I played on duce side to favor my forehand. This allowed me to be aggressive with my shots which allowed me to set my partner up with an easy volley. Very similar events occurred while I was serving.

Piedmont College Showcase
10/09/22 to 10/09/22
At this event, I was able to meet the women's tennis coach along with the players. The show case started with us dividing up into groups to warm up and then, rotating between six stations. During that time, we focused in on specific parts of our games, so we could showcase our skills and prepare for match play later in the day. After playing for three hours, we did a Q and A with the captains of the Piedmont Tennis Team. Once that was over, the match play began. It went really well, and I was able to challenge myself by attempting harder shots and angles. As well as working on offensive shots, I had to work on my neutral and defensive shots because my opponent could stay in a rally and hit a short slice.

On the duce side, the slice serve is very affective for a first serve. For second serves, the kick serve was able to start points and kept me on offence. To stay consistent on returns, keeping my momentum forward and staying on the balls of my feet is crucial. The majority of my games won was off of my service game, so I should finish out the points better on my return games. Consistent rally balls were able to win me a decent bit of points, but to keep my forehand more consistent, i need to drive through more.
