Amanda Hess '20 Recruiting Profile

I am extremely passionate about tennis. I have been working hard to increase my tennis ability and mental toughness.  In addition to regular practices, I do outside tournaments, private lessons, and Junior tennis leagues.  During my sophomore year, I helped the JV team win conference for the first time in my school's history. I contributed to this victory by finishing 1st place with my 4th doubles partner.  That same year, my JV coach gave me her racket after I won conference because a couple of days before conference, my racket broke.  At the end of the tennis season my Senior year,  I won second place at conference at 3rd Singles helping our school also earn a 2nd place finish.  

I am an excellent cadidate for a collegiate tennis team because I am hard working, always looking to improve my abilities, driven, and believe in working as a team.

My academic goals are to pursue a strong academic program that is hands-on with individualized attention.  I am also heavily involved with the theater program performing in the last two musicals and blackbox productions, as well as doing community theater.

I look forward to applying my dedication and passion in the classroom and on the court.
