TAKEN BY MCPHERSON COLLEGE. Hi, I'm Alyssa Ritchie and I am looking for a place where I can play tennis in college while obtaining a bachelors degree. I'm very athletic and healthy, keeping my body in it's best shape is something that I always prioritise. Not only am I up for anything, but I am also a very quick learner. Because of my many years playing multiple other sports, I took to tennis quickly and I'm very coachable. My first year playing tennis was spent at varsity third singles. From there, I climbed to first singles through a lot of hard lessons and pure determination. Though I claim to be mainly a singles player, --Which is what I currently play as-- I am just as good and even a little better at doubles. I have also achieved two first place metals in doubles tournaments (2023 and recently this year). I’ve learned how to completely study my opponent and change my play style for the most optimal performance. This gives me a lot of versatility in both singles and doubles. I need a coach who is not afraid to point out every thing I do wrong. I do like compliments, but they won't help me get better. While playing tennis I have a very good mindset, it's never over until I stop playing. My positivity would be a great asset to any team, as the current captain of DHSGT (Defiance High School Girls Tennis) I try to set a good example for the girls to follow. I value respect, kindness, sportsmanship, and hard work. Athletics are not my only strength, I excel in academics as well. I have many awards, honors, and a scholarship attained through careful dedication to my studies. I hope you consider me as a great candidate for your team!
