The minute I picked up a tennis racket I knew I wanted to give everything I had to the sport in pursuit of success. This happened just two years ago, but every day since I have spent my time dedicated to tennis and all it has to offer. I train 7 days a week, anywhere from 3 to 8 hours a day. In my free time I am likely watching tennis, doing schoolwork, or spending time with my friends.
Tennis has provided me with multiple avenues for fulfillment. Beyond athletics and training, tennis has given me lifelong connections and taught me lessons about perseverance, determination, and patience that I will never forget. In my 2024 high school season, my doubles partner and I were state finalists. Playing doubles at this level taught me about the necessary cooperation and collaboration required for performing well in high pressure moments. On my team, I lead with encouragement and care. I strive to be the best teammate I can be with the goal of cultivating a motivated and supportive team environment.
I am very coachable and am always wanting to learn more to allow myself to become the best player possible. I often stay after practices to continue repping or hit serves, and I am fortunate to be surrounded by people who want to help me succeed.
In the classroom I am equally as dedicated. I currently have a 4.28 GPA and have taken six AP classes. I spend a lot of my time pursuing academic success, and hope to attend a college that will challenge me academically. I am a part of National Honors Society, Model United Nations, and am an ambassador for my high school. My education is something that is incredibly important to me.
My hope is to attend a college that balances athletics and academics. I want to feel challenged in both endeavors and am open to many options. Ultimately I want to become the best player, teammate, and student I can be and hope to attend a school that will help me in doing so.
