My name is Maria Entrena, and I am a 17-year-old from Venezuela. I have been playing tennis for about ten years now. I started to play at the age of six, and ever since then, I have fallen in love with the sport every day even more. I am ranked one in the varsity team for my school. I am also now the captain of my team. I am a very dedicated and hard worker on and off the court. Tennis has always been a big part of my life. I am currently a rising senior. I'm from Venezuela, and have always played tennis. I'm part of my school's tennis team; Dr. Thomas E. Randle in Texas. I have been in this team for what will be three years, and I was part of the tennis team at my past school too. My freshman year I was number four in our team line up, sophomore year I was number two, and this past year I was one. I also became one of the captains this past year. This past fall our team had great success, going undefeated in our district. During the spring, I had a great season too. Me and my doubles partner got placed first in the district tournament, and made it to the second round of regionals. One of my biggest dreams ever since I was a little girl was to play tennis in college and professionally. I am willing to work hard to obtain those goals.
