Grace Caplice '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5’6” tennis player from Richmond, Virginia. I am right handed, and this past fall I played #1 singles and #1 doubles for my high school tennis team. We came in second in the LIS (League of Independent Schools) tournament, and came in third place in the States tournament. This past year, as a Junior, I was chosen as all-LIS, and 1^st Team All-State.  This year my GPA is a 4.3 on a 4.0 grading scale, and I am on the honors list. 

One of my favorite parts of tennis is the mental challenge. I believe everyone has good and bad tennis days, but what makes you a good tennis player is being able to handle and learn from the disappointments along with the successes. I am a hard worker, responsible, and a team player. Being part of a supportive and close team means a lot to me. I also listen to and appreciate my coaches, and try my hardest to learn from them.

I am looking for a school where I am challenged academically as well as athletically. I am open at this time to any school size or location, and I am most interested in math and science.
