Personal Statement
I have always been an athlete, whether it be competing in swimming, tennis, track or lacrosse. From a young age I learned of the benefits of being an athlete. These include a healthy lifestyle, friendships with my teammates and the growth of a strong character. From sport I learned how to give my best each and everyday, how to encourage others, how to be respectful and optimistic, and value teamwork.
What I have learned from my athletics has helped me succeed in my academics as well. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and drive to be successful throughout my college career. As a three-sport athlete and two time captain, I know I have what it takes to make an immediate impact on your team.
