I am British and moved to the USA in 2014.
This is when I started running, age 11, with Parks and Recs, where I made it to JO Nationals.
At the coach’s insistence I then moved to a club - Speed Unlimited in Bellevue, WA, where I truly met kindred spirits who inspired me both in the love of running and strong friendship bonds. I now live in California but the running friends I met there are still some of my most favorite people and probably life long friends!
I am privileged to run with some truly elite athletes both as friends and competition in CA. I believe we inspire ourselves to be our best, at all levels. To work hard at all we do as athletes and students knowing that our long term goal achieves success in our school work, our friendships, support of each other and our running.
I’m a sophmore now and had an incredible freshman track year.
Sadly, I sustained a severe high ankle injury sprain early on in my xc training. This wiped out my season and as wrenching as it was I believe it gave me growth too. It was gutting to support my team but not be on the start line with them. It made me very focused on getting healthy and really listening to guidance on when I could race again as well as to what my ankle was telling me. Returning to track season I want to go in feeling strong, healthy and to help support what is a young distance team for my school into their HS season with strength. I hope that I can lead this team to achieve the best they have to give. That we, as a team can build strength as athletes and in academics and as a group of friends who want to enjoy this sport together.
