Hi! I’m Amaya, a 16-year-old from San Diego, California, heading into my senior year of high school at Canyon Crest Academy. After trying out a variety of sports such as softball, soccer, and cheerleading, I discovered a love for track after joining a youth club at the age of 8. My primary event in track & field is long jump, and I finished my junior season (2025) with a PR of 19’6” and ranked 1st in San Diego. In addition to long jump, I have competed in sprints and high jump. I would love to continue jumping at the collegiate level and believe that with the right coaching and my dedication to working hard, I can achieve great things. I think I would be a great addition to your track program because I am eager to learn and perfect my technique, am a supportive teammate, and am motivated to help my team succeed.
