For the last 10 years I have been a competitive gymnast with the Paramount Elite Gymnastics Club, training 20-25 hours/week, 5 days a week.
Last November, I partially dislocated my right shoulder right before my competitive season at Level 10 was to begin. Unfortunately, I was unable to compete. I was very disappointed, but as an athlete, I couldn't let that stop me. Then, I started training over the Christmas break with my school track and field team. Running track was very natural to me. Because of my gymnastics abilities with vaulting, I was driven to hurdle, but eventually fell in love with sprinting. In my first season I made it to CIF finals for the 100m dash, and the 4x100 relay.
Although I have only competed track for one season, I am only ready to improve from here. My competitive abilities and hard work are driving me to become the best athlete I can be. Because of my past experience with the long training hours in gymnastics, and my athletic drive, I can be a great advantage to your collegiate team.
