I have ran long distance since my 7th-grade year when I was Introduced to 'Girls on The Run' as an opportunity for self-discovery that quickly evolved into a self-challenge. My friends and family can attest to the fact that running is my favorite topic of conversation. Track and Cross Country have given me many opportunities to further accentuate my education and changed how I view my many accomplishments and everyday challenges.
Running has shown how hard work can allow me to persevere and improve in every aspect of my life and how to keep working towards a goal even after it begins to seem impossible. My freshman year I earned the Freshman record beating the previous holders time by 3 minutes something that hadn't been done since the record's recording in 2008, and the challenges I faced only increased when I went into my sophomore year and didn't meet the same results, My failures and successes have taught me to work hard and to understand when I don't succeed that i can still continue to try and eventually I will succeed.
