Hi Coaches! My name is Jordan Blankenship. I am a cross country and track athlete currently attending Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch, CO. I have been running ever since I can remember. My first 5K was with my family when I was 4 years old. Running was my secondary sport during the 8 years I spent as a Junior Olympic competitive gymnast. Through gymnastics, I learned persistence, dedication, an unwavering work ethic, and how to overcome when met with challenges. I have taken these characteristics with me into my running and my academics, which has helped me to dig deep and push myself to excel as a runner and as a honors high school student.
Being a strong, reliable, motivating, and encouraging teammate has always been important to me as well, and I strive to build up my teammates. As an example, when our team competed in the National Meet of Champions in Indiana to finish off the 2020 season, as our team's fourth scoring runner, I was able to encourage both our team's third runner and fifth runner to push hard in the shoot, and secure our team's 2nd place finish.
My character, tenacity and drive will make a positive addition to your team because I push myself and others to achieve success while enjoying the work and the camaraderie.
