I have been an athlete throughout my entire childhood. I started out with gymnastics and dance before I switched over to cross country and track in high school. I was a Junior Olympic Gymnast for 12 years before I decided to make a change and switch over to running. It was probably one of the best decisions of my life. I immediately fell in love with the sport and I really wish I would've started sooner. Although, I still have been very successful in the past two years I have competed at the varsity high school level. Freshman year I was still doing gymnastics during cross country season so I started right with indoor track. I began as a pole vaulter and started some sprinting by the end of outdoor track, where I ended my season at New Balance Nationals. When I decided to do cross country in the fall of my sophomore year, that's when I knew I should switch over to mid distance. I have been running mid distance ever since and I am proud of the progress I've made throughout the year. I know that I can continue to improve myself as both an athlete and a person overall. I am determined to become better and better in everything that I do. I am a great student who enjoys learning and finds learning new things very interesting. I absolutely love being part of a team and working with other people. I love the atmosphere it creates and I for one would love to be apart of that.
