Since my first race, which was in high school, I knew that running was for me. In one of my first cross country races my sophomore year I ran the 2 mile in 17:59 and now just one season later I am running a 5k in under 22:30.
Over the summer of 2018 I had the opportunity to work with a coach in a small group and one-on-one in Denver, where I trained for six weeks on the track. In this short time my mile pace improved from an average of 7:29 to an average mile pace of 6:34.
I have a lot left in me that I am hoping will be brought out with great coaching. I excel in academics and serve in multiple leadership roles at my school including Cross Country Team Captain (named after my first season at my school by unanimous vote of coaches and captains).
