Sara Evans '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sara Evans and I am currently a junior at Nathan Hale-Ray High School, located in East Haddam, Connecticut. I have been running for the past five years, and I would it is a huge dream of mine to continue running competitively at the college level. In college, I aspire to run under 5 minutes in the 1600m, as well as under 17 minutes in the 5000m. I have always valued not only athletics, but also academics, leadership, and character. I am an extremely hardworking and dedicated individual, which is why I believe that I will be able to persevere through challenges that many college student-athletes face. I also believe that being an adequate leader can improve character as well as team morale. Through becoming more involved in clubs and leadership opportunities, I have been able to embrace my outgoing and supportive side, which has helped me strengthen friendships and relationships. Overall, my leadership qualities, as well as my drive athletically and academically makes me an adequate fit for running on a collegiate team.
