It all started after one of my middle school teachers saw me run in P.E. class. He asked me if I wanted to run and encouraged me to do so. Well, I took his advice and joined the track team in 7th grade. That year our middle school track team won the county championship. The following year in 8th grade, I was county runner-up in the 100M. Needless to say, running had taken hold of me by that time. After being bitten by the track bug in middle school, I joined an AAU team. Running soon became a major focus of mine and I was determined to be better every time I stepped on the track. Over the past years, I've qualified for Junior Olympics in 2018, 2109, and 2021. I was the county champion in the 100m and 200m, Georgia District 1 Region 6A champ for 200m, GA District 1 Region 6A runner up in the 100m, as well as AAU District 45 champ for the 100m in 2021 all while maintaining a 3.7 GPA. Athletics and academics are two things my family takes pride in. Being a member of this type of family has taught me the value of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. In all that I do, I approach it humbly and prayerfully with one goal in mind. That goal is, to be better today than I was yesterday-as a person as well as an athlete. As a college athlete, I want to continue growing as a person by showing great character on and off the track. I do believe my list of accomplishments, work ethic, and understanding my role as a teammate makes me a great candidate for your school.
