I began running in my Sophomore year of high school and fell in love with the sport. Running has taught me how to overcome both physical and mental barriers and shown me what it means to be part of a team. I've never been the fastest or the strongest or the best all-around athlete, but I have drive and dedication. I work hard at practice, setting goals for myself that help me strive to be my best self. I have a strong academic record, having earned 46 college credits while in high school and earning the title of Valedictorian and I apply the same diligence, enthusiasm, and work ethic to my athletics as I do my academics.
