I have been on a track and field team since I was 7 years old and have aspired to compete at the collegiate level ever since. My life changed when I was adopted from Ukraine at 1 1/2 years old and I know that participating in collegiate sports is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could also change my whole life.
I have competed in many events over the years including sprints, hurdles, high jump, javelin, long jump, triple jump, and the heptathlon. Over the last few years I have specialized in the long jump and triple jump, but I still run sprints and relays when needed for my HS team and I also still throw the javelin during the summer club season. I am very coachable and enjoy watching video to analyze how I can get better. In the classroom, I have improved and kept all A's and B's my junior year.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the track. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to be successful in both the classroom and on the track and make my parents proud of the girl they adopted.
