As a track and field jumper and student, I am very determined and self-driven. I always strive to improve. I believe that I am extremely coachable and will do and perform anything asked of me in practice and/or in classroom. I’m a fast learner and learn to correct easily. I first began high jump in middle school starting my 6th grade year. After my first jump , I fell in love with the sport and I have now been jumping since then. I have 2 years high school experience as I didn’t get a sophomore season due to covid and I have been on varsity every year. Other sports that I have competed in, in high school, is soccer where I am a varsity starter since freshman year. But my main focus in sports have turned to track and field. Ending my Junior year, I achieved my goal of beating the school record of 5’2”. Leaving me state bound the same year. I am currently jumping varsity as my personal record is 5ft 3inches. I accomplished my personal record at a practice meet beginning of my sophomore year (therefore it didn’t count towards the record) before our season got canceled. At sectional my junior year I jumped 5ft 3inches again accomplishing the beating and taking of the record at RCHS placing third and moving on to regionals. I jumped 5ft 3inches again at regionals making a five way tie for second place then moving to placing fifth at regionals. Then as a big accomplishment for me as said previously I made it to Hoosier State. I hope to improve greatly and PR at 5ft 7inches or even higher would be great my senior year. I work hard and will always give 100% to all the activities and sports in which I participate and compete in. In the classroom I am focused and determined to always do my best for all of my homework assignments, projects and tests. I am an A B student this year as I really picked myself up. I am extremely dedicated to everything I set my mind to. I promise to always give 100% effort and perform to the best of my ability.
