My ideal college community embraces who I am, one that seizes a small suburb girl, which offers endless opportunities and experiences for growth. An unprecedented environment which will motivate me to strive for perfection to achieve a bright future ahead of me in the field of psychology whilst simultaneously developing both physically and mentally throughout my track and field career as a flourishing triple jumper.
As an aspiring psychologist to be, my aim is to prioritize mental health and show people that even though sometimes our wings are too worn, they can still learn to fly , there are still so many risks worth taking, sunsets worth watching and pictures worth taking. Meanwhile, to your average outsider, jumping a goal distance may seem monotonous, or even a bootless errand. But to me the tremendous impact that training every single day on the track, on the field, in the gym with blood, sweat and occasional tear is unlike any other.
I desire to keep giving the best of me, even though in the moment failure might feel like a deal breaker or let down. In the long run, it will enlighten and show me that failure is not the opposite of success but part of it, and simply an opportunity to begin again without letting it get to my heart.
To conclude I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off track, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches and the school I will attend.
