Taryn Compton '22 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to become a 400 hurdle runner at the college level and I have interest in being a pentathlete as I competed in the pentathlon in club track. I have ran track since 6th grade and I also competed in USATF indoor/outdoor track for multiple years. I am very passionate about the sport and it has been my dream to run at the college level since I started track.  I have been a member of a state 4x8 relay team as well as qualifying my freshman year individually in the 300mh.  I am also a state qualifier 3 years now in cross country placing 3rd as a team and 18th this year individually.  I have balanced my academics with being a 4 sport athlete.  My academics have always taken a front seat and yes it has been hard and I am very busy but I wouldn't have it any other way!  I strive to always achieve more and constantly challenge myself and my teammates.
