I have always had a love for running but never ran competitively on a track team until my eighth grade year; I love every minute of competing on the track, whether it be in practice or at a meet. Moving from my eighth grade year to my freshman year I was placed on the varsity team, but this didn't stop me from working hard. Every season my goal has been to make it to state, to get to where I wanted to be I knew I had to come to practice everyday dedicated to putting in hard work and getting better. I take the time to work on my technique, strengths, and weaknesses helping me become a better competitor and teammate. Hard work can take you anywhere as long as you believe in yourself and others. Track has taught me to push through the hard times, and to never give up on my dreams. Grades and furthering my education have always meant a great deal to me. I hope to attend a college that will give me the opportunity to excel at my highest potential as an athlete, a student, and a person.
