Hello, my name is Lillian Sebastian, and I am a Senior at Paul G. Blazer High School in Ashland, Kentucky. I have been running track at Ashland for the past eight years, and I have competed at the varsity level since 8th grade. During my 8th grade season, I won my first varsity meet in the 100-meter dash, and I qualified for the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) state track meet in the 100-meter, 200-meter, and 4X100 relay. I finished in the Top 10 in both the 100-meter and 200-meter and a 2nd place finish in the 4X100. I was named to the All-Area Team for the 100-meter, 200-meter, and 4X100. Additionally, I was recognized with All-State honors for my 2nd place completion at the state level. During my freshman season, I qualified for the state meet in the 100-meter, 200-meter, and 4X100. I placed in the Top 10 with PR’s in the 100m and 200m. Highlights of my Freshman season include 2 PR’s at the State Meet, First Team All-Area and setting new Regional Meet records in both the 100m and 200m. Although I could not compete in outdoor meets in 2020, I was fortunate enough to run a full schedule of indoor meets. I finished the 2020 indoor season with a 3rd place state ranking in the 60m and a 5th place state ranking in the 200m. I recently completed my Junior year where I set 5 school records in the 55m, 60m, 100m, 200m and 300m. I also set Regional records in the 100m and 200m. The highlight of my Junior season was a KY State runner-up in the 200m where I had a PR of 25.68. I also finished 6th in the 100m with a 12.68. 2020 postseason awards include First Team All- State, All Area and All Region.
When I am not practicing or competing, I am studying or participating in one of my extracurricular activities. As a Senior, I have a 4.0 and a Top 10 class ranking. I am an active member of Key Club, Spanish Club, Spanish National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society. Through these organizations, I complete many hours of community service and earn many leadership opportunities.
I am excited to see what 2022 will bring as I am currently preparing for the upcoming indoor season. I am looking forward to competing this season. I will make sure to keep my schedule up to date so my progress can be followed. Thank you for considering me as your next student athlete.
