Personal Statement

My collegiate goals are to find a program that will use my strengths in sprinting and jumping. I am hoping to join a track program that has coaches who are not only supportive but will push me to be my best. I want a track and field program that is not only a team, but a family. I want to be a positive asset to my team and I want to help the team and myself to achieve high level goals. My track and field aspirations are to be a dominant force in my events. I want to become stronger and faster and help my team win meets and championships. I am a good teammate because I am a very hard worker, I am trustworthy, and I love to encourage others. I come to practice ready to do my best. I know as a team we all have our strengths and weaknesses. I know there may be times when I have to take one for the team and do what may not be best for my individual gain. I have been a part of a relay team and that can be a little difficult when you are use to running only for yourself. Through this experience, I learned a lot about running in positions that are new, believing in my coaches, and trusting the process. I am very versatile and can be a leader for my team, or I can step back and take direction. My work ethic means a lot to me. I train year round so that my body is ready when the season hits. I have a personal trainer who works with me a couple days a week in the gym. The other days I am with my track team running, conditioning and working on technique. I take pride in myself as an athlete and ultimate goal is to be an Olympian. I also take pride in myself as a student. I have a great attendance record, I take advanced level classes and I maintain a high gpa. I feel proud of myself for showing that I can excel in class while having a very rigorous training regimen.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
