2018 Highlights #2
2018 HighlightsMy best PR's at cerdified meets are, 5 ft 0 inches high jump, 16 feet 10 and 1/2 inches long jump, 27.40 200M, 103.14 400 M.
I am a 7 time state champion, and 10 time state medalist, second place at AAU national indoors in 8th grade. I own a number of records in middle and junior high school associations. In 8th grade I cleared 5 foot 2inches on a hard bar in practice and my original coach mike bartalina moved out of state and my coaching carousel over the last couple of years began. My best individual year was 10th grade where I won state championship in high jump, long jump, 2nd place in triple jump and 2nd in the 200M. That summer I placed 9th in AAU junior Olympics outdoor high jump. Last year, in my junior year I suffered a severe ankle sprain just prior to the state championship meet. I still participated because that's what champion do. I won the long jump with less then my best but the high jump which immediately followed I could not jump. We wrapped my ankle, skipped the 800 and ran the 400 trying to gain points for the team. On the sprained and wrapped ankle I finished 3rd at 1:03:15. Over the summer I tried to come back to soon and re sprained the ankle taking away summer track and junior Olympics. Have now fully recovered and fully healthy and look forward to improving numbers with the 2018 outdoor season. The best PR numbers I have acheived in practice are high jump 5 feet 4inches on a hard bar, and 18 feet 2inches in long jump, those are prior to the ankle sprain last year.
