My name is Alyssa Bourque and my life has revolved around sports ever since I can remember. Growing up I was constantly running or playing pass with my brother or dribbling a basketball. I’ve always looked up to college athletes and admired the work they put in to conquer their dreams, and now that I have worked hard to hopefully become one I am so excited to see what my future might hold in college track and field. I have had many accomplishments in high school throwing javelin. From breaking the school record to being KVAC champion to competing in New England’s my sophomore year! I believe I would compliment any team very well with not only my throwing abilities, but with vibrant energy and willingness to try new things. My friends would say I am very easy-going, friendly, and always trying to have fun. Although something that sets me apart from most athletes is how I work in the classroom, with a 4.0 GPA I am constantly studying and working my hardest in the classroom in my honors, AP, and dual enrollment classes. Academics is so incredibly important to me. I really believe track and field has shaped me to become who I am today, I enjoy the team aspect of it all but I love how it can also be an individual sport, that really drives me to take responsibility and become the best I can.
