Hello my name is Ariann LeCours and I run cross country and track! These two sports contribute to my life and shapes who I am! Although I take these sports seriously, I also have a lot of fun and enjoy being with my teammates who push me to my limits. They have made me realize that I'm much more stronger than I believe to be! My passion for running started when I was as young as about 5 years old, especially since I grew up with parents who ran numerous marathons, one of them being the Boston Marathon. I started running road races (mostly 5k's), then joined a travel cross country team in elementary school, onto joining running camps and a club during middle school (while competing for my school), and now competing in high school and hopefully college! Throughout high school, I've been varsity for all 7 seasons (cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track). Despite having two injuries, I persevered and finished up my seasons until the very end. Long story short, this would mean a lot to me if I continued to run in college!
As for academics, in the classroom I take my work seriously. I make sure my work is completed and well done to the best of my ability. I'm currently apart of an early college program that offers students the ability to take college courses while still being in high school. I constantly put in the hard work, knowing that the results will come with great dedication. This is my motto not only for sports and academics, but in my everyday life as well!
As a person, I'm extremely motivated, dedicated, determined, and hard-working! If any challenge arises, I will take it on with confidence and do my best! Whether it means an injury, a difficult school assignment, or anything in between! I believe I make a strong candidate with the ambitious collegiate goals I have in mind.
