Since I was young, I have always found an outlet in running. My love for running has grown as a way to clear my head and find myself. Being the oldest and learning to grow up without a mother to follow in the footsteps of, I have grown to be a leader and spread my light and positivity to others as much as I can. Throughout high school, I have ran both winter & spring track and field since freshman year, and started my first year of cross country this year (my junior year). Through these sports, I have made some of my strongest friendships and bonds, and I have found a new happiness by surrounding myself with both the people and the sport I love.
During my first season of cross country in the fall of 2018, I ran a PR of 20:20. I am proud to say that I helped lead my team to both Kelley-Rex Division Champions (an undefeated season versus the Hockomock Kelley-rex Division teams) and overall Hockomock League Meet Champions, and I am honored to have been voted 2019 captain for next fall's cross country season, as well as captain for both winter and spring track. It was amazing watching the progress that each of my teammates made throughout the season.
