I am a positive teammate and effective leader who loves the family and social aspects of cross country and track. I am seeking an opportunity to join a tight-knit program with high aspirations for its competitive performance, team spirit, and the success of its individual members as students and people.
I am confident that I will continue to enjoy steady improvement as a distance runner in an environment with teammates of greater ability to push and support me in daily training. I want to land at a school where I have a strong chance to make the cross country top seven if I put in the necessary hard and smart work. I am proud of the fact that many of my best performances have come in big regional and state meets where the pressure to succeed has been the greatest. I will come through with solid results when you need me.
I'm a highly responsible student with good grades in a rigorous schedule with many AP classes. The school I attend is competitive, the classmates and friends I am surrounded by are very high achieving academically. I have been able to comfortably hold my own in that environment. I scored 1370 on the SAT in my first attempt in December and I'm confident I'll achieve a higher score when my entire junior class takes the test in March 2020 .
Because I've grown up less than a half mile from Michigan State's campus, I'm comfortable in a big university environment. While I'm open minded about the geography and size of colleges, I'm looking to go to school in a dynamic community that offers fun and enriching things to do outside of academics and athletics.
Your athletes and coaches will enjoy having me on your team. I will add energy and fun to your program while also being extremely hard working.
